The competition will run from January 21 through March 21.

Final results will be determined by comparing official Housing data of residential water and electricity use from the beginning and end of the competition. Standings will be intermittently posted.

Electricity and water use re duction will be measured as a percentage change from the same time period last year and weighted to calculate a combined electricity and water use reduction, which will be used to determine the winners.

Who can participate?

  • All dorms and houses with GLC (Green Living Council) representatives are eligible to participate.
  • All dorms and houses will compete individually except Florence Moore, Castaño + Lantana, Lagunita, Stern, and Wilbur which will each compete as dorm complexes due to linked water and electricity meters.

Don’t have a GLC representative? Want to be one? Go to http://sustainability.stanford.edu/greenlivingcouncil.html to apply!
