What is the Green Living Council?
The Green Living Council is a residence-based, peer education program to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility among Stanford students. The Green Living Council is composed of students dedicated to encouraging sustainable behaviors among their peers in campus residences. Together with Students for a Sustainable Stanford and a number of departments and staff members, these students will take the lead in making Stanford a truly sustainable university.

By joining the Green Living Council, you will become part of the community of leaders who are working to ensure that Stanford is a sustainable and environmentally responsible campus. Every student on campus can help in the effort, and as a Green Living Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in championing sustainability among your peers. Throughout the year, you will work to educate fellow students about energy efficiency, water conservation, recycling, sustainable foods, and much more. The Green Living Council is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role, meet a great group of students, and have a positive impact on your campus and the world.

Who Can Apply?
Any undergraduate or graduate student living on campus is welcome to apply! Coordinators should have an interest in environmental issues and an enthusiasm for promoting sustainability among their peers. No prior experience is necessary. All participants will receive more information and training to help them become effective coordinators.
