Resource awareness days
// projects / RADs
This is an old project, dating from 2002:
The Students for a Sustainable Stanford (SSS) are lead organizers for Resource Awareness Days Nov 12-14th. With support from PSSI, RASP and Greens at Stanford, we are focusing on food cycles on Wednesday, 11/12, energy on Thursday, 11/13 and solid waste and recycling on Friday, 11/14 (America Recycles Day is the 15th; also the day of action at the local office depot to demand they carry paper with higher recycled content - organized by Greens at Stanford).
The events will be held in White Plaza, hopefully drawing in lots of students, faculty and staff. There will be event continuity, with the below actions present each day
* food not bombs/ would be thrown away-goodies for palate pleasure
* personal eco-footprint test with a running tally of cumulative Stanford score
* “Free Store” tables of item drop off and exchange
* Petitions circling for signatures to ask Stanford Administration to Adhere to the Project Delivery Process and the Guideline for Sustainable Buildings in ALL projects constructed on campus. [awareness of campus plan and infrastructure as resource]
