Planned Giving

Main content start

There are many ways to leave a legacy.

Remembering Stanford in your plans is a personal and deeply meaningful decision. Your forward thinking can help secure the well-being of future generations to come.

What is planned giving?

Planned giving involves providing for a future gift through your financial and estate plans. The university welcomes gifts made through a variety of arrangements that can entitle you to charitable income and tax deductions, provide for you or your loved ones, and enable you to leave a legacy for Stanford.

Our deep appreciation

When you let us know of your planned gift, we recognize you as a lifelong member of the Founding Grant Society, which honors those who have made a planned gift to the university.
