Tina Wu, PhD

Dr. Tina Wu hails from the island of Taiwan and grew up in the Midwest. She holds a BS in Microbiology from Iowa State University and a PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With her experiences in research, scientific teaching, and outreach, Tina is committed to advancing diverse, inclusive, and equitable pathways for students pursing higher education in STEM. Prior to joining the DEI team at the Doerr School of Sustainability, Tina served as the University Relations Coordinator with the National Society of MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences). At the Doerr School, Tina's role focuses on advancing DEI recruitment initiatives and managing the NSF-REU program, SURGE.
