Students helping shape the future
Urgent issues being addressed by the school affect everyone, and require input from people spanning all disciplines – and that extends to the student experience.
Anela Arifi, student representative of the Advisory Council, and Dean Arun Majumdar are working together to ensure students help shape their experiences in the school and in their work with sustainability. Anela is reaching out to a broad set of student organizations related to sustainability to gather their feedback on key student issues in the school. The first topic brought to these groups was how to build an internship program that helps get all Stanford students out into the world working on sustainability issues. The feedback has proven invaluable in ongoing work to create that internship program. Anela and the Dean will continue to reach out to these groups as additional issues emerge.
Is your student org invested in sustainability and interested in getting involved? Feel free to recommend your student group for inclusion in future conversations by emailing sustainability_students@stanford.edu.
